It's also dreadfully late, so this is going to be short and I'll get into more detail later.
Frank and I have discussed the issue with transferring He100 to Japan and putting it into production there.
We have reached a consensus
1/ We agree the Japanese will receive their OTL data package, and probably additional information, assistance and aircraft due to the delay in Barbarossa. This is purely driven by the timing and subject to no additional FFO drivers. The Japanese have bought a plane, started a project; a/ and there is absolutly NO reason they will not continue with this, b/ given a/ and the additiona time for communications with Germany they will use them to further their work.
2/ There are several drivers for them to change the design slighly. I do not what to argue about 'slightly' I'm being brief and more details will follow. However the strongest of these drivers leads to a conversion for evaporative cooling to a conventional radiator, greatly increasing the aircraft's practicality on every level.
3/ Given 1/ There is nothing to divert Hitachi from establishing a limited production line. Again this is another term I will define later.
4/ However there are other factors at work here, mostly driven by FFO that change the IJN's position on the He100. These will have some impact on the Japanese Avation picture in general as they are systemic changes mostly in strategic perception driven by FFO, that in turn produce shifts on the technical level.
5/ Point 4/ produces Japanese based alternatives to the He100 that are of greater practicality and promise equal and potentially superior aircraft.
6/ In light of 3/, 5/ and and other secondry drivers the IJN produce a LIMITED quantity of their He100 version in very late 1941 and early 1942 - this amounts to about 50+ service aircraft.
7/ These aircraft are deployed for both home and overseas to a/ make use of their performance in defending key targets, and b/ for propaganda/disinformation.
8/ When this first run of airframes is used up - that is the end of this aircraft.
Please do NOT start argueing over this. Firstly this is only an intial report, more inforamtion will be comming as soon as I can get it out, and secondly becuse this argument DONE - FINISHED.
Wider input is welcome to flesh out minor detail if desirable, but the essential points are set in stone by consensus though our established method. The umpire has spoken, well coraked
I really am sorry this decission has not been presented in full here, and crave your pardon and patience.
