With Allied holding Limnos and contesting nothern Aegean and a more friendly turkish attitude, mining Bosphorus would be difficult (BTW, the Black Sea fleet has quite a lot of minesweepers).

There's nothing saying they are contesting the Northern Aegean in the stories, Southern yes but not Northern. They have no support up there. Also one Squadron of Ju-88's could shutdown the Bosphorus or any Russian port and the Minesweepers are nice but they have to now there's mines first and there rigs were dated. They would not work on the newer German mines. Even the Allies had trouble.

Also as I said, if the route was free to use late in 1943 why was it still not used till late 1944? Also of all the material sent to Russia in OTL From June 22/41 to September 20th , 1945 the amount to use the Black Sea was less than 4%. That should say something. Almost as Much went through the Russian High Artic through the Bearing Sea.
