Yes I agree it was done to try to force England to agree to a cease-fire. In FFO as I said it will also mean that because the September dates cannot be met the next available dates for any invasion are in the spring of 1941 ( May actually ). I could argue that there was enough planning on Sealion as an invasion that some do consider it as serious enough. The point I was trying to get across was that where in oTL to have any chance of meeting the September deadline the Luftwaffe effectively had to throw themselves like Lemmings at the RAF. Lack of results led to intereference by Goering and Hitler which in turn led to some seriously stupid decisions and policies ( what's the good of having a fighter if it needs to be escorted ????? ). In FFO, with no time constraint the battle will be very different. The 4 phases that some have broken the BoB down to will be longer with the channel battle and southern airfield suppression phases being far longer and at a slower pace. Most likely most of the Fall and winter. This will allow the RLM more time to adjust to certain conditions better during the battle than OTL but so to will the RAF have time to adjust. This will pin down a large chunk of the RAF but at the same time will allow the Commonwealth Pilot training program to get into full swing. I see those pilots making up the bulk of the RAF's contributions to any Med. campaigns.

That's all for now.
